This was a good conversation, thank you Dr. Hicks and Andy for having it. I am in the camp that is unconvinced about the position suggested on 1Cor. 8-10 but I have wrestled with other passages such as Acts 15 and Rev. 2 that seem to give prohibitions without qualification. Acts 15 is easier to explain than Rev. 2 but both I think can be. I am willing regardless to entertain the parallel that we face similar issues that we must be ready to take a stand in the West like Corinthians may have needed to.
