“I don’t want to teach you what to think; I want to teach you how to think” has become a cliché in educational circles. The truth is that no matter how sharp our reasoning processes are, we will never get right answers unless we ask the right questions, and we will not ask the right questions unless our minds are renewed.
Romans 12:2 links the renewed mind with the will of God: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Believers need to consider the questions this passage raises.
