From our March/April edition of FrontLine magazine comes an article by Rachel Langendorfer, GFAM missionary in Papua/New Guinea. Her article is called:
Rescue the Perishing
Ministering the Gospel in Medical Emergencies
Rachel is a family nurse practitioner ministering in a rural clinic in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea. She has served as a career missionary with Gospel Fellowship Association for the last six years.
Her article highlights some of the cases she and her coworkers deal with in their clinic. Due to uncertain internet connections, we conducted this interview by sending Rachel email questions and receiving back short mp3 clips of her testimony. She added stories to those already appearing in the article to further describe her ministry in PNG.
Every one of us will have contact with friends and family members who experience traumatic medical and other experiences in life. At these times we can have an opportunity to share the gospel, point our friends to the Great Physician and offer spiritual help in times of difficulty. Rachel’s testimony encourages us to take advantage of such opportunities for the Lord.
We encourage you to subscribe to our Substack so you can read Rachel’s article in full. Annual subscriptions include a subscription to the print magazine as well.
